Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ has won the hearts of both audiences and critics. It was the first Indian movie where the rap culture got a life on-screen. Not only common men, but also celebs were all praise for the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer. Amitabh Bachchan has sent his note of appreciation and bouquets to the whole team of the film. In an interview with Zoom TV, Mr. Bachchan revealed that he tried to imitate Ranveer’s ‘Gully Boy’ character.
Big B said, “You are not pulling the audience in anymore. It’s the younger stars, the younger generation, they are the more popular ones. I actually saw ‘Gully Boy’ 10 times to be able to match or even come near Ranveer Singh. I met him last night and I told him, ‘thank you so much, Ranveer. I’ve copied you and I tried to copy you and I failed miserably.’”
When it comes to rap, Amitabh Bachchan is no less than Ranveer. In his recent release movie ‘Badla’, the superstar
has rapped for the song ‘Aukaat’ with full energy. Here’s the video.
