Amitabh Bachchan indulges in a fun banter with Rajinikanth after he calls him ‘one true sensation’ on his birthday

Today marks the 80th birthday of one of the biggest superstars of Indian cinema, Mr Amitabh Bachchan. The stature that the legend has, not just in the industry, but all across the globe, is something beyond imagination. Thus, wishes have been pouring in for the megastar from all nooks and corners, and its indeed great to see the love and respect he receives from people. One of the wishes that Amitabh Bachchan received was from the South superstar, the Thalaiva Rajinikanth and the way the Big B has responded to it, has made for a really memorable conversation.

Taking to Twitter, Rajinikanth wished Amitabh Bachchan writing, “The legend.. someone who has inspired me always… the one true sensation and superhero of our glorious Indian film fraternity enters 80 .. happy birthday my dearest and most respected @SrBachchan Amitabh ji .. with lots of love and best regards always (sic)”.

Feeling humbled and loved, the Big B also responded in a gracious way, asserting there is no comparison between the two of them. He wrote, “Rajni .. sir .. you give me too much credit .. I cannot compare myself to your immense presence stature and glory .. you have been not just a colleague, but a most dear friend.. your graciousness I do envelop with my gratitude and love (sic)”.

Both Big B and Rajinikanth are two of the biggest megastars this country has ever seen. They are the true personification of Indian cinema and it was indeed a celebration when the two of them came together for the 1991 film Hum. Seeing the love and respect that the two of these have for each other and considering the time it has passed since their last on screen team up, their fans are really hoping for them to reunite on the big screen. While we wait for that, here’s wishing the legend Amitabh Bachchan a very happy birthday.
