Megastar Amitabh Bachchan makes headlines for his Juhu bungalow yet again. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reportedly asked the Mumbai Suburban Collector to demarcate the portion of the road touching Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow, Prateeksha, in Juhu. BMC is planning to do that to widen the road to ease traffic chaos. In a letter sent to the Mumbai Suburban District Collector in May, BMC has asked to undertake appropriate action on measurement and demarcation.
Congress corporator Tulip Miranda informed that the BMC has notified Amitabh Bachchan in 2017 about the same. Along with Bachchan’s property, seven other property owners were informed including filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. In 2017, the wall of the plot adjoining Bachchan’s bungalow was demolished, but his was left untouched.
According to the BMC letter sent on 22 May 2021 to the Suburban District Collector, Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray, son of Shiv Sena president and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, has been repeatedly asking for this road widening work to be expedited to ease traffic woes. “If this road is widened, it will help ease the traffic congestion there and provide relief to the people,” the BMC letter said.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has a release in Chehre where he will be seen alongside Emraan Hashmi. The movie got postponed due to the ongoing pandemic and is yet to get a fresh release date. Big B also has Brahmastra where he will be seen alongside Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor. The film is an ambitious project by Karan Johar.
