Amitabh Bachchan is currently seen hosting the 15th season of quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Apart from interesting films in his kitty, the actor is also an ambassador of several brands. Recently, the actor was a part of an online ad campaign. However, a complaint was filed by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT)  accusing the advertisement as misleading and fine of Rs 10 lakhs is imposed on the actor.

Complaint filed against Amitabh Bachchan by CAIT

The secretary general of CAIT has filed a complaint with the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) accusing an online retail brand and Amitabh Bachchan of misleading information. The complaint claims that the ad featuring the actor has misled the public regarding the price at which mobile phones are being made available by sellers. He has also urged to remove the advertisement and impose a fine on the brand and actor of Rs 10 lakhs.

Amid the controversy, Amitabh Bachchan shared a cryptic note on twitter, now X. Big B wrote, “T 4787 – coming soon to explain lots.”

On the work front, the actor is set to star in Ganapath: Part 1. The movie also stars Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie is slated to release on 20 October 2023. Additionally, the actor has Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD. The film also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. It will be releasing next year on 12 January 2024. The actor also has courtroom drama Section 84 in his pipeline. He also has The Intern Hindi remake alongside Deepika Padukone.
