Amitabh Bachchan not a part of Salman-starrer ‘Race 3’

Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan have starred together in films like ‘Baghban’, ‘Baabul’ and ‘God Tussi Great Ho’. And now, there were reports that after nine years, Big B and Salman will be once again teaming up for ‘Race 3’.

A source told Bollywood Life, “Amitabh Bachchan has been approached for Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’. And it seems that Big B is pretty thrilled and has no apprehensions working with Salman.”

However, when Pinkvilla approached the producer of the film, Ramesh Taurani, he denied the reports of approaching Big B, and stated, “Only, Salman and Jacqueline have been finalised for now.” When he was asked when the shooting of the film kickstarts, he said, “October.”

It would have been great to see Big B and Salman together on the big screen again.

Well, earlier there were reports that Jacqueline will only be roped in for the movie, if ‘A Gentleman’ becomes a hit. However, it looks like the reports were untrue. A source had told Deccan Chronicle, “A lot is at stake in Salman’s forthcoming films. He can’t afford to slip up after ‘Tubelight’, not for his own sake as much as his audience and distributors. ‘A Gentleman’ has turned out to be a disaster at the box office, but still Taurani has stated that Jacqueline is a part of the film. This means that the failure of ‘A Gentleman’ has not affected the actress’ career.
