Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha's Silsila & Rishi Kapoor-Sridevi's Chandni to re-release this Valentine day,

This Valentine’s week, Bollywood fans have a reason to celebrate as timeless cult classics return to the big screen in restored 4K versions. The National Film Archive of India, under the National Film Heritage Mission, has meticulously enhanced the picture quality of iconic films like Silsila, Awara, Aradhana, and Chandni.

Silsila & Chandni to re-release in theatres on THIS date!

The lineup kicks off with Yash Chopra’s Silsila on February 7. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha, and Shashi Kapoor, the 1981 classic is known for its unforgettable tracks like Dekha Ek Khwab and Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, composed by Shiv-Hari.

On Valentine’s Day, late legendary actress Sridevi’s blockbuster Chandni makes its grand return. Directed by Yash Chopra, the 1989 film features Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna alongside Sridevi and remains a timeless romantic favourite.

Raj Kapoor’s 1951 crime-drama Awara, considered one of the greatest Hindi films, follows on February 21. Starring Raj Kapoor, Nargis, and Prithviraj Kapoor, the film captivated audiences with its gripping storyline and iconic performances.

To round off the month, Rajesh Khanna’s beloved romance Aradhana will re-release on February 28. PVR Cinemas announced this nostalgic treat on Instagram, inviting audiences to experience these cinematic gems anew. “This month of romance, let timeless love sweep you off your feet!” they shared.
