Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Aankhen 2’ lands into trouble

Few days ago, Gaurang Doshi had announced ‘Aankhen 2’ with a grand event. The movie will star Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal and Arshad Warsi in the lead roles. However, now the film has landed into a legal trouble.

Producer Gaurang Doshi has been slapped with a Contempt of Court order for announcing and promoting ‘Aankhen 2’.

Tarun Agarwal of Rajtaru Studios Limited has asked how Gaurang can make ‘Aankhen 2’ when they had bought the rights of the 2002 film ‘Aankhen’ from him years back.

However, Gaurang’s lawyer Bobby Malhotra says he had purchased the rights from Eros International by giving them a substantial consideration.

Bobby told a news agency, “We had purchased the rights from Eros International media by a legally executed document on stamp paper by paying a substantial consideration. Today, we are the owner of all the copyright, media right, title of the film and all other rights of the film.”

When Bobby was asked isn’t Rajtaru Studios Limited aware of this, he said, “He is aware of it because we have mentioned it in the affidavit. They have even referred to the document.”
