Amitabh Bachchan looks fierce as the immortal Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD teaser, calls it ‘an experience like no other’

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to star as the immortal Ashwatthama is Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD and the much-awaited teaser unveiling his look is out. While he looks unrecognizable as his face is covered with white cloth, just like always his dialogue delivery has out attention.

In the teaser, Amitabh Bachchan can be seen sitting and praying in front of the Shiva linga inside a pitch dark cave. A small kid enters the cave asking Amitabh about himself. He questions Amitabh if he is God to which he responds, “Since ancient times, I have awaited the arrival of the Avatar. I am Guru Drona’s son. Ashwatthama.” Amitabh Bachchan also shared the teaser and the first look on his social media account on Sunday.

Amitabh’s son Abhishek Bachchan applauded his dad’s character calling him a Boss as she too shared the teaser. His granddaughter Navya Nanda and daughter Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan also heaped praise on his striking look.

About the movie

Kalki 2898 AD is a Nag Ashwin directorial film also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles. The film is set to release on May 9th. At one of the events, Nag said, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it India, and it make it look like Blade runner”
