Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Jhund’ has got a release date. The movie will be releasing on September 20 this year. The movie has been directed by ‘Sairat’ director Nagraj Manjule and it is his Bollywood debut.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to announce the release date of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer. The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath and Nagraj Manjule.

‘Jhund’ is based on the life of Vijay Barse, a retired sports teacher who is the founder of an NGO called Slum Soccer. The story is on how Barse helps the street kids to get rid of drugs and crime and turn them into soccer players.
The shoot was wrapped up this January and Mr. Bachchan took to his social media handles to share a heartfelt note.

This is the first movie of Big B with Nagraj Manjule. Earlier, while talking to Mumbai Mirror, Manjule had said, “No other actor fits the role, only Mr Bachchan can do justice to this particular character. All the others in the film are newcomers since I am known to work with fresh talent. The combination of Mr Bachchan and this young team will be something to look forward to.”
Besides ‘Jhund’, Amitabh Bachchan also has two big releases this year – ‘Badla’ and ‘Brahmastra’.
