Amrita Rao to make a comeback with THIS movie!

We have a reason for all Amrita Rao fans out there, to rejoice. Amrita, who was loved by audiences in films like ‘Main Hoon Na’, will soon be making a comeback to the big screen. Yes, you heard it right. She will be seen opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the Bal Thackeray biopic which is slated to release next year.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Amrita Rao will be seen essaying the role of Bal Thackeray’s wife Meenatai Thackeray. The film’s director Sanjay Raut confirmed the news and said, “Meenatai was never in politics but she was the lady who held the Thackeray family together as also Shiv Sena, the party Balasaheb formed. She was his backbone and the embodiment of matrutwa (motherhood). When you see her on screen, you will know that she is best suited for the role.”

The role will span three decades – from 1969 to 1995. We hope that with this performance, Amrita is able to make a successful comeback to the big screen as she is a very good actress.
