An FIR registered against Shirish Kunder for slamming UP CM Yogi Adityanath

It’s quite obvious that when a celeb voices his opinion on any social issues, it could fireball into a new controversy, thanks to the extremists. Now, the latest celeb to find himself in trouble is Farah Khan’s director husband Shirish Kunder. (Also Read: Shirish Kunder has the fittest reply for someone who questioned his kids’ religion)

Shirish had slammed the newly appointed CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, in a series of tweets which are now deleted. He not only addressed him as a “goon”, but also wrote, “Hoping a goon will stop rioting once he’s allowed to rule is like expecting a rapist to stop raping once he’s allowed to rape.” Then, in another tweet he had written, “Going by the logic of making a goon as CM so that he behaves, Dawood can be CBI director. And Mallya – RBI Governor.”

This surely did not go down well with some people, and an FIR was registered against him in Hazratganj, Lucknow, states an ANI report. As soon as reports of the FIR filed against him spread on the web, he not only deleted his tweets, but also issued a public apology on his Twitter page.
