This morning, news of Hrithik Roshan essaying mathametician Anand Kumar in his biopic came out confirmed. While rumours regarding the same were doing the rounds for quite some time now, we were waiting to hear from an official source.
Now that he is set to play Anand’s role, the mathematician feels there couldn’t be a better casting!
“I have full faith in his capabilities. I am very happy because he is the best choice for the role. I’ve seen his work and the kind of versatility and range that he exhibits as an actor is very strong. I am a rooted guy, so I feel some level of emotional quotient is required to live my life on screen. I have seen that in Hrithik — on and off screen,” he said. “I can totally trust Vikas Bahl with my life’s story as I’m confident he will make a heartfelt film out of my story,” he added.
For those uninitiated, his forthcoming biopic title ‘Super 30’ is inspired by the Super 30 programme introduced by him, in which he coaches students belonging to backward and underprivileged communities. By 2017, 396 out of his 450 students had successfully made it to the IITs. A documentary made by BBC channel featured Anand and his achievements. He has been invited by globally acclaimed institutions to discuss his endeavours.
