With Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ Shah Rukh Khan is reuniting with his ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. In this movie, Shah Rukh will be playing a vertically challenged man, which we haven’t seen him playing in any of his films before. Playing this character was quite challenging for the actor as he invested a lot both physically and mentally. Director Aanand who is currently busy in the post-production of the movie has said that it is Shah Rukh’s toughest role till date.
In an interview to Mid-Day, Rai was all in praise for SRK saying that he has put his heart and soul in it. He also said that Shah Rukh was very much into filming ‘Zero’ and they used to discuss every shot before shooting and finalising it. He even said that the movie was shot well because both he and SRK shared the same love for cinema.
“The film and Khan saab surprised me. When I saw it recently, I wondered how I managed it. ‘Zero’ was tough for me as a director, but even more so for Khan saab. This is his toughest role. It drained him physically and mentally. He could not afford to slip even for a second,” added the director.
‘Zero’ is one of the most awaited movies of the year. A few months ago the teaser of the movie gave us a glimpse of the Shah Rukh’s character and we can’t wait for the movie to release on December 21 this year. The movie also has Salman Khan doing a special cameo.
