Ananya Panday roped in opposite Kartik Aaryan for ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ remake?

Just two days back, we told you that Kartik Aaryan has been apparently signed for the remake of Sanjeev Kumar’s popular film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’. Now, if the latest buzz is anything to go by, then newbie Ananya Panday who is yet to make her Bollywood debut (she stars in ‘Student of The Year 2’) has been signed opposite Kartik for the remake.

According to a report in DNA, Ananya has come on board for this remake. A source close to the development told the daily, “Ananya has been signed on for the ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ remake, which is being produced by Juno Chopra. She will essay the role that was portrayed by Ranjeeta Kaur in the original. The idea is to make it a modern version of the classic with a young cast. The makers wanted someone cute as well as glamorous for the part and she fit the bill. When the script was narrated to her, she was in splits and gave bulk dates, almost immediately.” 

Apparently, Kartik and Ananya have even done a few readings for the film together. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the remake will have some modifications in its storyline and even its climax will be changed.

There has been no official announcement about this remake or its star cast yet. So it has to be seen if Kartik and Ananya really get a chance to share screen space. Also, it has to be seen who the makers rope in for the role played by Vidya Sinha in the original.
