Actress Ananya Panday is all geared up for the release of her upcoming movie Gehraiyaan. It is premiering on Amazon Prime Video on February 11. Recently, we caught up with Ananya for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble where she spoke at length about the comparisons between the actors, questioned why women are pitted against each other, how Covid-19 pandemic affected the career of the younger generation of the industry and a lot more.
Earlier, at an event Sara said that the younger generation lost two years of their career due to the pandemic. When asked if she resonates with that thought, Ananya said, “We did but it’s not us. It was a hard time for everyone. I honestly feel grateful and blessed that everyone in my family and friends are happy, healthy and safe. That’s something of utmost importance to me. It was hard in career point of view because you are just starting out. Your film has just come out and suddenly stalls down. But one thing I have learned, a big thing in the pandemic is specifically to be grateful and make the most of every moment and make every moment count.”

For the unversed, at Agenda AajTak 2021, Sara talked about how she connected with Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor after Covid-19 affected their career, just as they were starting out.
The Atrangi Re actress had said, “We are very different from each other and we are comfortable in our own skin. We are not best friends and we all have different set of friends. But we connected in the past two years. As young ambitious girls who are starting their career, to lose two years to Covid, that brought us close. This thing even my mom won’t understand. Words like competition and contemporaries are used by others, they are not for me.”
