EXCLUSIVE: Ananya Panday reveals the best advice she got from dad Chunky Panday to deal with success and failure

Ananya Panday, daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Panday and Bhavana Pandey is one of the most sought-after actors of the industry. She made her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 and recently she made her Tollywood debut with pan-India movie opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Just ahead of the movie release, we sat with both Vijay and Ananya where they spoke about their parents’ success and failure.

Ananya’s father, Chunky has seen both highs and lows in his career. When asked what she learnt for her dad’s journey and failures, she said, “I was very young when my dad was going through certain phases. So, I think I have observed a lot from him. He might not have to come out and tell me exactly what he has been through because he is not that kind of person.”

She added, “He actually speaks about the most positive things..laugh and makes jokes and stuff. So, I have observed a lot from him and he always tells me to treat success and failure in the same way. He always says, ‘it’s like a cricket match. You could hit a six on a ball and you could get out on another ball. You just have to work with good people and enjoy your work. And work very very hard every single day’.”

While talking about the one thing she would fight for, the actress said, “Standing up for what I believe in”.
