Ananya Panday is back to basics as she resumes shooting for THIS show- Deets Inside

Ananya Panday is about to make her OTT debut with the Amazon Prime Video web series Call Me Bae. Since the show was announced with her character introduction, it had created quite the hype. Ananya took to her Instagram to share the latest update on Call Me Bae.

Ananya Panday resumes shooting

The actress reposted her director Collin D’Cunha’s Instagram story. It is a video of the clapboard which read the name of the show. With the details written on the board looks like Ananya is shooting for episode one. Sharing this clip, the director wrote in his story, “Back where I belong.” Sharing the same on her story, Ananya did a fun word play with her caption. She wrote, “Back to Ba(e)sics.”

Earlier in April, the show was announced by Varun Dhawan in a fun video with the actress. In the video, she unleashed her fashion prowess and schooled Varun Dhawan in a monologue about colour.

More about Call Me Bae

The story revolves around a billionaire fashionista, played by Ananya named Bae. Her ultra-rich family disowns her owing to a salacious scandal. She has to fend for herself, for the first time ever. On this journey, she overcomes stereotypes, negotiates around prejudices and discovers who she really is.

The web series is Dharmatic Entertainment production. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra are the Executive Producers. Call Me Bae is directed by Collin D’Cunha. Created by Ishita Moitra who has also co-written the series with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, Call Me Bae will be available to Prime members in over 240 countries and territories upon its release.

Ananya Panday upcoming movies

On the work front, Ananya Panday will be seen in Dream Girl 2 alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. She will also star in Vikram Aditya Motwane’s cyber-thriller film. In addition, the actress also has Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
