Ever since the beginning of her career, Ananya Panday has been in the eye of the storm of trolling. The actress has seen the ugly side of the internet quite a few times, but she has always faced it bravely. Currently, Ananya is on a good spree as her work is getting a lot of love, including her recent release Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. And in a recent interview, she revealed how she deals with these fluctuating responses.
Ananya Panday on dealing with trolling
As Chunky Panday’s daughter, Ananya has faced the brunt of trolling for being a star kid. Her statement on ‘struggle’ during an year-end round table also brought her under a lot of scrutiny. However, the actress never let those emotions take over. Rather, in an interview with PTI recently, she credited those emotions for her growth. She said, “If I hadn’t been exposed to those emotions, I would probably not be able to perform a certain way. So I’m grateful for whatever’s happened because I have been allowed to express myself through my work. And, some criticism is actually helpful and important feedback. Obviously, you have to block out the mindless trolling.”
While her recent works, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Gehraiyaan, brought her praise, Ananya is also not letting it get to her head. She added, “I feel like people’s perceptions change every Friday. You can’t get too carried away by praise or by hate, you have to keep working hard. That’s the best you can do. You can’t change the way people speak, so you can only work on yourself. That’s what I have learned.”
Ananya Panday upcoming films
Currently reeling in the praise for her Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav co-starrer, Ananya has an interesting line up of projects ahead. She is a part of Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber-thriller next. The actress is also making her OTT debut with the series Call Me Bae.
