‘Andaz Apna Apna’ producer Vinay Sinha passes away

Veteran film producer Vinay Sinha breathed his last today. Sinha has produced the cult classic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ which starred Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. The film that released in 1994 is still very fresh in cinephile’s memory.

Film critic and trade analyst Komal Nahta shared the sad news on his Twitter handle. “Vinay Sinha, the producer of films like ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, passed away a few minutes back. May his soul Rest In peace(sic),” wrote Komal.

The cause of Sinha’s death is yet to be known. Apart from ‘Andaz Apna Apna‘, some of the other films bankrolled by Sinha are ‘Naseeb’, ‘Chor Police’ and ‘Showman’ to name a few. In November last year, Sinha’s ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ had completed 25 years. Reportedly, Sinha was planning to make a sequel of his iconic film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, which also starred Raveena Tandon and Karishma Kapoor.

Sinha has also served as the Vice President of Indian Motion Picture Producer Association (IMPPA). The veteran producer’s daughter, Priti Sinha is also a film and television producer. She is currently the Director and Creative Director of Reel Life Entertainment (I) Pvt. Ltd.
