Anees Bazmee

While CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani‘s uncalled restrictions are creating enrage across the country, filmmaker Anees Bazmee agrees to him on one point. Stating that he would never include a kissing sequence in one of his films, Bazmee says family films need to kept ‘clean’.

“My comedies are watched by the entire family and kids love my humour. I’ve a mother, a wife and sister at home. And I’ve a daughter. I wouldn’t like to do anything in my films that would make me cringe in front of them,” he told a news agency. While he awaits the release of ‘Mubarakan’, Bazmee says cinema in India yet remains an affair that is celebrated by the entire family.

“So sorry, no kissing in my films, ever, no matter what the requirement in the script. I agree with the censor chief Pahlaj Nihalani in this. We need to keep our films clean and wholesome because cinema is still a family event in our country,” he added.

This would definitely have a few takers soon!
