No Entry 2 has been making the headlines for several reasons. While the upcoming Anees Bazmee directorial is in the news for its new cast, it is also the talk of the town owing to a tiff between the film’s producer, Boney Kapoor and his brother – and one of the film’s original male leads, Anil Kapoor.
During a recent chat, Anees opened up about the relationship souring between the Kapoor brothers over the casting of the film and if he thinks Salman Khan and Anil’s characters can be replaced.
Anees Bazmee on Boney Kapoor-Anil Kapoor tiff
During a recent interaction – via Hindustan Times, filmmaker Anees Bazmee opened up about the relationship between Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor souring over No Entry 2 casting. He said, “This is news to me. Thodi bahut naraazgi hogi (There will be a little tension).” The filmmaker continued, “I haven’t been able to speak to Boney ji as I was busy shooting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.”
Bazmee – who has also worked with Anil in many films, including such as Mubarakan, Pagalpanti and more, added, “No Entry was an important film. Agar uske sequel mein nahin hain toh naturally aadmi ko hurt hoga (If he’s not in the sequel naturally he will be hurt. Boney ji must have had his reasons, too.” However, Bazmee is optimistic about their reconciliation. He added, “They are brothers… Tomorrow they will meet and hug each other. They both love each other.”
While interacting with ETimes, Anees Bazmee dismissed speculations about replacing Salman Khan’s character in the upcoming sequel. Affirming that neither Khan nor Anil Kapoor can be replicated, the director stated, “Nobody can replace Salman Khan or Anil Kapoor. We are working on it (the script) and will let you know very soon.”

During a recent interview, producer Boney Kapoor revealed that the upcoming comedy will star Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. A report that followed suggested the film would have ten actresses.
