Actor Angad Bedi’s father and former Indian Captain Bishan Singh Bedi passed away at the age of 77. He died on October 23 after battling a prolonged illness. To honour his father’s legacy, Angad Bedi will soon compete in a 400-meter race in Dubai. The actor has shared some glimpses of his preparation from the racing track.
Angad Bedi to participate in 400-metre race remembering father Bishan Singh Bedi
On 29th October, Angad is going to make his international debut as a sprinter in a 400-meter race at an athletics championship in Dubai. He is doing so as a mark to honour his father’s sportsmanship. “It’s my way of honouring him and his legacy. Sportsmanship is in my blood. And I want to do exactly what my father would have expected of me. I want to participate in this race to honour him and the values that he has instilled in me during his wonderful life. He will always be there with me as my guiding light,” the actor was quoted saying to a news portal.
For those unversed, earlier this year, Angad bagged a silver medal in a state-level sprinting tournament that was held in Mumbai. He participated in the 400m race in the 31-40 year category and finished the race in 66 seconds.
