Anil Deshmukh says Mumbai Police will probe Kangana Ranaut for taking drugs; actress hits back with ‘happy to oblige’

Kangana Ranaut and Maharashtra government recently have been at loggerheads. With the actress comparing Mumbai with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Shiv Sena’s MP calling the actress ‘haramkhor’ their war of words doesn’t seem to stop any time soon.

Now, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said that Mumbai Police will be probing Kangana for allegedly taking drugs. And guess what? the actress has said that she will be more than happy to get the drug tests done. And if any link to drug peddlers are established she will accept her mistake and leave Mumbai forever.

Speaking about the probe, Anil Deshmukh told ANI, “As per request submitted by MLAs Sunil Prabhu & Pratap Sarnaik, I answered in Assembly and said that Kangana Ranaut had relations with Adhyayan Suman, who in an interview said she takes drugs and also forced him to. Mumbai Police will look into details of this.”

So the said investigation will be carried out based on the 2016 interview (with DNA) of Kangana’s ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman in which he had claimed that the actress used to consume cocaine and had even argued with him to take it.

Shiv Sena leaders Sunil Prabhu and Pratap Sarnaik had submitted copies of Adhyayan’s interview to Maharashtra government and demanded an inquiry against the ‘Queen’ actress.

Now, reacting on the Anil Deshmukh’s statement, Kangana took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “I am more than happy to oblige @MumbaiPolice @AnilDeshmukhNCP please do my drug tests investigate my call records if you find any links to drug peddlers ever I will accept my mistake and leave Mumbai forever, looking forward to meeting you(sic).”

For the unversed, Adhyayan in his interview with DNA had said, “On her birthday in March 2008 at The Leela, she had invited everybody that she had worked with. She said ‘Let’s do cocaine in the night.’ I had smoked hash with her a couple of times before and didn’t like it so I said no. I remember getting into the biggest argument that night because I said no to cocaine.”

Interestingly, a few weeks back Kangana had claimed that 99 per cent of Bollywood celebs consume drugs. She had even said that she is willing to help NCB in their investigation provided the central government gives her security.
