Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh thanks Sonu Sood for providing 25,000 face shields to police personnel

We all are aware of the fact what Sonu Sood has done for the migrant workers. From buses, trains to flights, he has arranged all these three means of communication for the workers so that they can reach their homes safely. Now, the actor has given 25,000 face shields to the police personnel in Maharashtra. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh thanked Sonu for his ‘generous contribution’.

Anil Deshmukh tweeted, “I thank @SonuSood Ji for your generous contribution of giving 25,000 #FaceShields for our police personnel.” To which the actor replied, “Truly honoured by your kind words Sir! My police brothers and sisters are our real heroes and this is the least that I can do for the commendable work which they have been doing. Jai Hind.”

Recently, there were allegations against the actor that he has political support in his ‘Ghar Bhejo’ initiative. He had told Times of India, “When those allegations were made about me and the controversy erupted, I didn’t even read what was being written. When someone called to take my opinion on the matter, I was busy arranging travel for labourers and I told the person that right now I am doing something important and I don’t have time to react. I don’t care about such allegations. The idea is, when you are trying to do something different and good, people will point their fingers at you. As a matter of fact, such allegations strengthen my resolve to do more and do better. And we actually got inspired to do more. We are, and we will continue doing the good work.”
