Anil Kapoor gets emotional as he recalls mother would sew his clothes in childhood, Watch

Anil Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled JugJugg Jeeyo. The actor is busy with the promotions of the movie. He has been promoting his upcoming movie in full swing, with his JugJugg Jeeyo parivaar. Amidst the promotions of JugJugg Jeeyo, Anil Kapoor made an appearance on a singing reality show. He recalled a memory from his childhood and broke down into tears.

On Twitter, a video from the promo of show Superstar Singer 2 was shared. The video features Kapoor making an appearance on the set, for promoting his movie. The JugJugg Jeeyo actor recalled memories of his childhood and spoke about his mother, Nirmal Kapoor. He remembered how his mother, Nirmal Kapoor would sew clothes for him. The actor got emotional and remembered fond memories.

The video starts with a contestant performing on the song Kya Hua Tera Wada, while his mother cheers for him in the audience. The clip then features Kapoor. Recalling the memories from his childhood, the actor said, “Mani ko dekh kar, unki mata ji ko dekh kar, mujhe apna bachpan yaad aagaya. Wo machine yaad aagayi. Sewing machine thi, haath se bhi chalti thi, paaun se bhi chalti thi (After seeing Mani and his mother, I’m reminded of my childhood. I remember the machine. It was a sewing machine that could be operated with both hands and feet).”

Moving on, the actor got emotional and further said, “Jis tarah aap ye pant aur shirt banati hai, mere liye bhi meri mummy banati thi. Aur aaj main yaha baitha hoon. Aap bhi bohot bade banoge (The way you stitch pants and shirt, my mother too used to sew for me. Today I’m sitting here. You will also reach great heights).”

Kiara Advani was also present on the show, promoting the movie JugJugg Jeeyo with Kapoor. The film JugJugg Jeeyo is set to release in theatres on June 24.

Meanwhile, it was only recently when Anil Kapoor opened up about his daughter Sonam Kapoor’s pregnancy and his first reaction when he learned about the good news. He spoke about his first reaction and how elated he is to become a grandfather soon.
