Anil Kapoor jokes about Majnu bhai’s painting as Welcome completes 15 years

Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar starrer Welcome (2007) clocks 15 years today. The Anees Bazmee directorial was a hit. Welcome is remembered till date by fans for many hilarious reasons. Talking about Anil Kapoor’s character Majnu Bhai, in particular, he delivered a terrific performance and made fans laugh. Majnu bhai’s painting of a dog standing on top of a donkey is still popular among fans. Now, as Welcome completes 15 years of its release, Anil took to his Twitter and thanked fans for all the love.

Anil shared pics on Twitter and wrote, “15 years ago Majnu bhai picked up the paintbrush and the rest is history! #Welcome was, is and always will be one of my most cherished films for the sheer joy it has brought people! It’s amazing how some stories & characters just live on even years later….”

The actor then thanked fans for giving Welcome and Majnu bhai ‘so much love’. Reacting to this, a fan commented, “Truly iconic… Majnu bhai and Uday bhai are (heart emoji)” Another one commented, “Majnu bhai the great.”

On the work front, Anil Kapoor has interesting projects in the pipeline. The actor will be seen in Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. In October, Hrithik shared the first look poster of Fighter and announced the release date of the upcoming film. The actor wrote, “25^th January 2024 – see you at the theatres! #Fighter.”

On the other hand, Anil will also be seen in Animal. The actor will be sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the same. The film is slated to release in August next year.
