Tezaab: Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit starrer to get a remake?

Tezaab was one of the iconic hits starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. The terrific actor’s pairing was loved by the fans. Looks like the same magic might be recreated on the silver screen as a remake of Tezaab is on the cards. After giving a blockbuster remake like Kabir Singh, producer Murad Khetani has reportedly bagged the rights to Tezaab remake.

The 1988 hit will be brought back to the silver screen if the latest reports are to be believed. It is said that two producers had their eye on the rights of Tezaab and Murad managed to bag the offer. He will focus his attention on Tezaab after he is done with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel and the Thadam remake.

A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “There were two producers who were eying the remake rights to Tezaab. Murad Khetani fetched it for a little higher price than his counterpart. He plans to put the whole project together once he is done with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel and the Thadam remake. He also has Namak Halal and Tezaab will be his fourth remake to be precise.”

The report further said that the makers are planning to modernise the script while keeping the essence intact. The cast of the remake is yet to be announced. It is not yet confirmed whether Madhuri and Anil themselves will be part of the remake. The movie is currently in the development stages.
