When Anil Kapoor told Sonam Kapoor, “apne baap se seekho…”

Sonam Kapoor‘s ‘Neerja’ is a strong contestant at award ceremonies this season, among Bollywood films released in 2016. Sonam recently bagged the award of ‘Editor’s Choice- Best Actor (Female)’ at Stardust Awards. Director Ram Madhvani also won ‘Filmmaker Of The Year’ award which he shared with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury for ‘PINK’.

Brothers Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor were present to give the award to Madhvani and Roy Chowdhury. However, creating a much awkward moment, Sonam didn’t accompany the ‘Neerja’ team when they walked up to the stage.

On noticing that she was busy chatting with a guest at the event, daddy Anil Kapoor called out to Sonam, saying “Apne baap seseekho…“. After this, she obviously went up to the stage and stayed there until Madhvani received the award. However, she didn’t wait till the director’s winning speech was over; and walked down the stage to go back to her seat.

We wonder if senior Kapoor’s remarks have irked Sonam!
