Ankita Lokhande’s latest post will make you want to watch ‘Manikarnika’ right now

An Indian actress Ankita Lokhande took to Instagram and posted her first post of the year 2019. And it is as beautiful as she is.  The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ fame, Lokhande shared a picture of Jhalkari Bai. It is to be noted that Ankita Lokhande is making her Bollywood debut with ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, in which she is playing the role of warrior Jhalkari Bai.

Recently, Ankita Lokhande was spotted at the trailer launch of the much-awaited movie of the year. She had thrown a bash for the cast and crew including Kangana Ranaut. Earlier, there were reports claiming that she will be making her debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s superhit movie ‘Padmaavat’. However, the actress dismissed the report saying that she was not ready to make acting debut at that time.

Besides her acting debut in Bollywood, there are other reasons that are keeping Ankita happy and one of them is that the actress will get married to her beau Vickey Jain in 2019.

The film ‘Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi’ is based on the life of  Rani Laxmi Bai and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The historical biographical film is being directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, with some portions shot by Kangana herself. The film is slated to release on January 25.

There were reports that Lokhande has been roped in for Girish Malik’s directorial film ‘Torbaaz’ opposite Sanjay Dutt. However, Malik denied this news and said that no one has been signed or even approached besides Sanjay Dutt. The film ‘Torbaaz’ will be presented by Waves Cinemas’ Ponty Chadha in association with Raju Chadha. It will be produced by Raju Chadha, Rahul Mittra, Girish Malik and Puneet Singh.
