EXCLUSIVE: Ankita Lokhande reveals exciting details about her character in SwatantryaVeer Savarkar

Ankita Lokhande is one of the most loved actresses in the industry. Ankita made her debut in Bollywood with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She later went on star in Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3. Ankita recently delivered a terrific performance in The Last Coffee which was released on an OTT platform. Ankita will be next seen as a female lead opposite Randeep Hooda in SwatantryaVeer Savarkar.

Ankita opens up on SwatantryaVeer Savarkar

Ankita recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and spilled the beans on her character. The actress told us, “This character is actually interesting. I am playing Yamunabai and again she is an unsung hero of our country. The best part about this character is that I am playing from 16 years old to 60 years old.”

The actress added, “I am looking so young aur mera opening scene hai joh meri entry hai jisme mein ekdum young si bacchi hu aur mein jab waha tak pahuchti hu toh I am 60 years old. So, that is something very amazing and that is something very interesting.”

Ankita went on to add, “I’ve tried my best to give my best in this movie and there are beautiful scenes which me and Randeep have and he’s a very good artist. He’s a very good director.” The actress added that she’s grateful that she’s doing this film.

For the uninitiated, in December last year, Ankita shared her first look from SwatantryaVeer Savarkar. A part of her caption read, “This news which I have been waiting to announce! My first film as a lead #Swatantryaveersavarkar & I cannot wait to share this beautiful journey.” Ankita’s fans are beyond excited to see her and Randeep together in SwatantryaVeer Savarkar.
