Watch: Ankita Lokhande is slaying it with her sword fighting skills on the sets of ‘Manikarnika’

Ahead of ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’s release, a video of Bollywood actress Ankita Lokhande practicing sword fighting has emerged on social media. The video appears to be shot on the sets of the ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Ankita Lokhande, who is known for her work in television serial  ‘Pavitra Rishta‘ is making her Bollywood debut with ‘Manikarnika’ alongside Kangana Ranaut.

Ankita Lokhande took to Instagram and shared a video of her in which she is showing her sword fighting skills ahead of her debut film. In ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi‘, Ankita will be seen essaying the character of Jhalkari Bai, a woman soldier in Rani Laxmibai’s army.

In an interview, Ankita thanked her parents for showing immense love and respect for her and said “Every time I was low, they were there to boost my self-esteem. I started out very young on the small screen and they were immensely happy even back then and now I am finally here making my Bollywood debut all I can say is I have never seen them happier. I thank my parents for being the best parents. I am truly blessed.”

A few days back, there were reports doing the rounds on social media that she is going to marry with her beau Vicky Jain this year. Ankita offered a clarification and told Bombay Times, “If it happens, I will let you know and invite you for the wedding. I can’t say anything right now, but there are no plans, yet.”

‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is based on the life and times of Rani Laxmibai and her fight against the British East India Company during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

The Kangana Ranaut starrer magnum opus is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
