Another couple headed for splitsville! This B-Town celeb and his wife have filed for a divorce!

This year has been an unfortunate one for quite a few couples who are walking separate ways. Now, music composer-singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya has joined the league of B-Town celebs who have headed for splitsville.

The multi-talented man and his wife Komal have filed for a divorce after 22 years of being happily married. The couple visited Bandra’s family court yesterday and applied for a divorce on mutual consent. If reports are to be trusted, then Himesh and his wife had been staying separately for the past few months and Himesh’s extra-marital affair is one of the main reasons behind their separation.

Speaking to a tabloid, Himesh confirmed this news by saying, “Sometimes in life, mutual respect becomes the most important, and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I have amicably decided to part ways. There is no problem whatsoever with this decision among us and our family as every member respects it. Yet, Komal is and will always remain a part of our family and I will always be a part of her family.”

Himesh’s wife Komal also added, “Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going ahead with this decision to part ways, but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same stands for him towards my family.”

Well, we hope that there’s some scope for a reconciliation between the couple.
