Anupam Kher backs Akshay Kumar in citizenship row; Read Details

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has had an eventful past 10 days or so, hasn’t he? The actor recently took the ‘non-political’ interview of PM Narendra Modi and it generated national headlines. The citizenship of Akshay Kumar is also a burning issue and just a couple of days back, the ‘Singh Is King’ actor accepted that he has a Canadian citizenship. Now, veteran actor Anupam Kher has come out in support of Akshay Kumar.

Anupam Kher in his typical style backed Akki and said that he doesn’t need to prove his patriotism to anybody. The national-award-winning actor took to Twitter and wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar! Have been reading about you explaining to certain people about your loyalty to our country. Stop it! Their real profession is to make people like you & me feel defensive for talking in favour of India. You are a doer. You don’t need to explain to anybody.”

Akshay Kumar was severely trolled on Twitter for not voting during ongoing Lok Sabha polls. The ‘Housefull’ actor had enough of it and wrote a lengthy post on Twitter.
