Veteran actor Anupam Kher is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, the film is a biographical one based on the memoir of the same name written by Sanjaya Baru. The trailer of the film was unveiled last week and soon after that, the film was grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Now, the film is again in the news. Anupam Kher, addressing to YouTube, pointed out the fact that he is getting messages and calls that the trailer of his film is either not appearing on YouTube or at the 50th position.
The actor went on to express his concern that until yesterday, his film’s trailer was trending at number one position and now it is difficult to even find it on the platform.

YouTube India is yet to respond to Anupam’s query.
Earlier, upon the release of the trailer of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, the Maharashtra Youth Congress raised their objection to the trailer and even demanded a prior screening of the film so that they can check if there are any factually incorrect scenes in the film. Reacting to their objections, Anupam had said that Rahul Gandhi had recently spoken about freedom of speech, so he should reprimand his party workers.
Written by Mayank Tewari, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ also stars Akshaye Khanna, Aahana Kumra and Suzanne Bernert in pivotal roles.
