Amidst controversies, Anupam Kher praises Kangana Ranaut’s performance in ‘Manikarnika’

Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi‘ has been surrounded by many controversies before and post-release. The film, which was released on January 25, has received praises from all corners including critics and as well as audiences. The Kangana Ranaut starrer has so far earned over Rs. 85 crores and is still enjoying a good run at the box-office. However, Kangana Ranaut has recently expressed her disappointment saying that nobody from the film industry supports her or her films.

During a recent media interaction, Kangana had slammed Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and others for not supporting her film ‘Manikarnika’. She had said that nobody from the film industry supports her or her films while she has always praised other’s performances. The actress even lambasted the Bollywood fraternity for “ganging up” against her and behaving as if she doesn’t exist. Also, megastar Amitabh Bachchan avoided talking on the ongoing controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika’.

However, there is a piece of good news for the ‘Queen’ actress. Anupam Kher has praised Kangana for her brilliant performance in ‘Manikarnika’. Take a look at Anupam Kher’s tweet:

Earlier, veteran actresses including Waheeda Rehman and Asha Parekh appreciated Kangana’s performance in the film. “I called Kangana to show me this movie because I was very keen. I really liked the film. She has done a really good job – acting and directing. She is also looking very beautiful in the film. I am so happy and proud of her that she has made this film and has given a great performance as well,” Waheeda Rehman had said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will be seen next in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’. She will also be seen on the silver screen opposite Rajkummar Rao in Prakash Kovelamudi’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’.
