Watch: Anupam Kher’s unique way of wishing former PM Manmohan Singh on his birthday

India’s former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is celebrating his 86th birthday today. Birthday wishes for the former Prime Minister are pouring in from all over the country. B-town’s veteran actor Anupam Kher did the same but in a very unique way. Interestingly, Anupam will be seen playing the economist and politician Manmohan Singh in Vijay Ratnakar Gutte’s upcoming film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. The film is based on a memoir of the same name written by Sanjaya Baru.

Wishing Manmohan Singh on his birthday, Anupam Kher took to his Instagram account and shared a video alongside the caption, “Respected #DrManmohanSingh!! Here is wishing you a very happy and healthy birthday. It has been a great experience portraying you on screen. May be I will get an opportunity to have a cup of tea & a piece of cake with you if you ever watch our film. I promise you will like my portrayal. It is full of sincerity & honesty. Regards.”

The video that Anupam posted, is a clip from the film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. The actor’s uncanny resemblance to the former Prime Minister will make you feel as if you are watching Manmohan Singh himself.
