The ‘Ludo’ director recently opened up about his equation with Kangana. The director said that he doesn’t understand the ‘public persona’ of the ‘Manikarnika’ actress. He also recalled the time when he had auditioned Kangana for the first time.
Recently, speaking about the time when he auditioned Kangana Ranaut for ‘Gangster’ that released in 2006, Anurag told Mid-Day, “Of the 20-25 girls we auditioned for the part, her face just stuck in my head – there was something unique about her. In the beginning, she needed guidance for everything. But she is a really fast learner. I have seen her growth during the filming of Gangster itself.”

When asked about Kangana’s ‘public persona’, Basu said, “We usually don’t meet, but whenever we do, this [public] persona is not the Kangana I [know] personally. So I think there are two Kanganas. Beech wali [the other one] I don’t understand.” Last year, Kangana and Basu were supposed to team up for ‘Imali’, however, the actress opted out of it.
