Anurag Basu confirms his next film is not a sequel of ‘Life In A… Metro’

Filmmaker Anurag Basu has never failed to amaze the audience with his touching and insightful films surrounding human emotions. The director has been shooting for his next film which is a multi-starrer and everyone assumed that he is making a sequel of his critically acclaimed film ‘Life In A… Metro’. After several speculations regarding the star-cast of his next film and whether its a sequel of ‘Life In A… Metro’ or not, the director has finally spoken up about his project.

Clarifying about his next project, Anurag Basu was quoted saying by IANS, “I have nowhere mentioned that the movie that I am shooting now is a sequel of ‘Life… In A Metro’. The only similarity is that there are four different stories in this movie as well.”

Basu also said that he is glad Abhishek Bachchan agreed to do a small role in his next. Praising the actor, Basu said, “I am glad that he said ‘yes’ as after writing a few scenes, I could imagine Abhishek doing this film. Even he agreed after reading those few scenes. I really like his work. He is a nice man. He should get his due as he is an amazing actor. I was looking for an opportunity to work with him and finally got it.”

The ‘Barfi’ filmmaker also revealed that actors Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Aditya Roy Kapur are also a part of his next. Now we are eager to know who is paired opposite who in his new film.
