A day after veteran actor Rishi Kapoor threw infuriated rants at him, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ director Anurag Basu has opened up. Anurag, who was maintaining a dignified silence all this while, reacted to Kapoor’s comments and said, ” I want to avoid making any comments against a senior who also happens to be my friend’s dad”.
He even took to Twitter and wrote, “Sorry i ws out of radar Thank U so much for ur love and appreciation for #JaggaJassos its like oxygen for Me Right now.Tight Hugs! & for those who disliked it ,hugs for them too,cuz ur rejection paves path the way for my next and I promise i’ll try not to disappoint you.” (Also Read: Govinda thanks Rishi Kapoor for taking his side in ‘Jagga Jasoos’ incident)
It all started after Kapoor, in an interview, blamed Basu for the box office failure of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and tagged him as an ‘irresponsible’ director. He also said Basu wasn’t open to suggestions, was so late in submitting the film that it didn’t release in Gulf and Singapore on the right dates, and that he even had a problem showing the film to team members.
We assume the enrage is because Ranbir Kapoor as well happens to be one of the producers of the film!
However, Basu’s calm response kind of makes him an winner, Don’t you think so?
