Here is what Anurag Basu has to say about delay in release of ‘Jagga Jasoos’

It has been now said that the much awaited Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif-starrer ‘Jagga Jasoos’ may be delayed again and will now have a new release date which the makers may announce soon. The reason for the same is said to be that a few lines of some of the 29 songs in the film need to be shot.

According to reports, a temple is being constructed in Filmcity, where the song is to be picturised on Ranbir and Katrina at the end of the month. Ranbir’s character in the movie stammers and uses songs as a replacement to dialogues. But here is director Anurag Basu, who has finally spoken about the delay and the real reason behind the same. The filmmaker took to Twitter recently to give his reason for the delay in the film’s release and tweeted, “#JaggaJasoos is a Family Holiday film. Since exams r pushed at most of the places. We r contemplating the delay. Only IF v get a better Date” [sic] (Also Read: Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to re-shoot ‘Jagga Jasoos’ scenes?)

The director further cleared that the movie will be postponed only if they get a better date and if not, then the team is gearing up for the film’s release on April 7. He further tweeted, “But for now team is getting ready for 7th April.”

Let’s wait and see whether the release of the movie gets postponed or not.
