‘Shilpa Shetty might have gone through hell’, says Anurag Basu amid Raj Kundra’s arrest

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and her family are facing tough times for a month now. After the arrest of her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in the alleged porn case, Shilpa took a short break from her professional commitments. She recently got back on the sets of the show Super Dancer Chapter 4. The actress made a classy appearance and looked beyond beautiful. She even spoke about women’s empowerment and the need to stay strong. The dance reality TV show is judged by Shilpa Shetty alongside Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur.

Speaking with Zoom, Anurag Basu shared how it was after Shilpa Shetty returned for the shoot of the show. He revealed he comforted Shilpa with a warm embrace. Basu mentioned there was no discussion about Raj Kundra or the case, on the sets of Super Dancer Chapter 4. 

He said, “I just gave her a warm hug. We all gave her a hug. Because we don’t know she might have gone through hell, many things have happened so we didn’t feel right to even ask anything or talk about it.”

Furthermore, Anurag Basu said he has a great understanding with Shilpa and Geeta despite the fact that they ‘fight a lot’. He said he looks forward to shooting with Kapur and Shetty every week and spend time with them. “It’s a friendship…three of us really understand each other. We even fight a lot but it’s all healthy. I really look forward to shooting with them every week, spend time with them, be with them, laugh with them, share stories,” Basu said.
