Anurag Kashyap’s first wife Aarti Bajaj quashes the #MeToo allegations against him; calls it ‘cheapest stunt’

After Payal Ghosh’s #MeToo allegations against Anurag Kashyap, many celebs have come forward to support the filmmaker. Also, Anurag’s first wife Aarti Bajaj has stood by him and slammed the accuser in her Instagram post.

She wrote, “First wife here✋?.. You are a rockstar @anuragkashyap10. Keep empowering women as you do and the safest place you create for all of them. I see it first hand with our daughter. There is no integrity left and the world is full of losers and no brains baying for blood of anyone who has a voice. If everybody spends the energy which they use in hating others constructively this world will be a better place.”

Slamming the accuser, she wrote, “Cheapest stunt I have seen till now. First it made me angry then I laughed so hard as it cannot come more framed then this.”

Towards the end of her post, Aarti asked sorry to Anurag that he is going through this. She added, “You stay HIGH and keep using your voice. We love you.”

On Saturday, Payal Ghosh alleged that Anurag had ‘forced himself on her’ some years back. National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma urged her to send a detailed complaint to the commission. Kangana Ranaut also supported the actress. In an interview with IANS, Payal said that she tried to open up about it several times, but her family and close friends asked her to be silent to avoid any problem in the future.

Taapsee Pannu, Anubhav Sinha, Hansal Mehta and others have come out in support of Anurag Kashyap.
