Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap got engaged to her boyfriend Shane Gregoire in May this year. On Thursday, Aaliyah and her fiancé Shane hosted an engagement party. The couple’s engagement bash was attended by many celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Palak Tiwari. Days after Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane’s engagement bash, Anurag Kashyap opened up his daughter’s special day.

Anurag showers love on Aaliyah and Shane

Speaking with Pinkvilla, Anurag joked, “I am glad I was invited.”

Furthermore, Anurag went on to add that he was unaware of Shane’s proposal to daughter Aaliyah. The filmmaker said, “I got to know through social media first about the proposal, but this time I was there – I was invited. My little one grew up too fast, she has a mind of her own. She is pretty much like her mother and father, we are both stubborn people, I think she is also as stubborn and has a mind of her own. She has her own thing. So it’s not like that, it was expected. I am very happy, I love Shane. He is an amazing boy. He is probably much more sensible and mature than I am.”

Coming back to the engagement party, Aaliyah also treated fans with photos of her and Shane on Instagram. In the caption, Aaliyah called her fiancé her ‘whole heart’.

Earlier in May, Aaliyah had shared photos from her dreamy proposal on Instagram. The star kid will soon tie the knot.

On the other hand, Anurag’s daughter is not interested in acting. Time and again, Aaliyah has mentioned that she has no interest in becoming an actor. For the uninitiated, Aaliyah has her own YouTube channel where she shares updates about her life.
