Anurag Kashyap and Aarti Bajaj participated in the wedding rituals of their daughter Aaliyah Kashyap as she tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Shane Gregoire. The filmmaker took to Instagram on Saturday to share a carousel of heartfelt photos from the celebration, which also included Aarti, Aaliyah’s mother and Anurag’s ex-wife.

In these touching images, Anurag Kashyap and Aarti Bajaj are seen performing traditional ceremonies during Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire’s wedding, smiling alongside the newlyweds. In his post, Anurag humorously captioned, “Ye bhi gayi (This one is also gone). @shanegregoire, my silly, take care of her. And I will resume being my stubborn self. Thank you @artb and @rheadewan for making it all happen so beautifully. Thank you everyone for coming.”
Additionally, Anurag shared another post featuring himself with film director Imtiaz Ali and filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. He referred to them as his “two pillars of strength” and tagged them in the post.
Anurag Kashyap penned an emotional note reflecting on the special day he spent with Aaliyah Kashyap. The father-daughter duo enjoyed a movie outing to catch I Want To Talk. The film was directed by Shoojit Sircar and starring Abhishek Bachchan. Anurag expressed on Instagram, “My daughter gets married in a couple of weeks, and we went on our last movie date together before I give her away, to watch @shoojitsircar’s I Want to Talk. It was like a deep cleansing of the soul watching this beautiful film with @aaliyahkashyap. I laughed and teared up.”
Aaliyah and Shane also shared their wedding photos on Instagram. They captioned it “Now and forever.” Their wedding reception was a star-studded affair that was attended by notable personalities. Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala, Abhishek Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Bobby Deol. Aaliyah and Shane had previously gotten engaged in a private ceremony in Mumbai last year. They publicly announced their engagement on Instagram in May 2023.
