Director-producer Anurag Kashyap has come out in support of friend and colleague Karan Johar and has said boycotting artists belonging to Pakistan can’t be a solution.
Following the terror attack in Uri, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) asked all Pakistani artists to leave India with 48 hours. They also demanded that Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which features Pakistani actor Fawad Khan should release without his presence. Johar earlier expressed his disappointment over the issue and said this would be of no help.
“Karan Johar said a very good thing. If you want to send Fawad Khan back, okay send him but what are the next five steps you’ll take? You tell me, what are the next five steps you will take after that?
What problems will be solved after sending him? What will be your next step after sending him. At least tell us what are your next five steps,” Kashyap asks.
The filmmaker was interacting with media at an ‘in conversation’ event as part of the 7th Jagran Film Festival.
