Anushka Sharma’s birthday post for her father features baby Vamika; Pic inside

Anushka Sharma’s father, Colonel (retd) Ajay Kumar Sharma has turned a year older on Thursday (March 25). As he turned 60, Anushka wished him with an adorable birthday post with a few throwback pics and one picture features her dad with little Vamika.

Sharing the pics, Anushka wrote a lengthy note that read: “Celebrating 60 glorious years of the most unique 1961 special edition – my papa”. She further wrote about what her dad taught her. “Growing up he taught us the power of honesty, compassion, acceptance and righteousness. And always stressed upon the peace of mind that follows by being honest and hassle free. Inspired me in so many more ways than he knows! Supported me like I will never be able to reciprocate. And loved me like only he can(sic)”, wrote Anushka.

Towards the end of the post, Anushka penned down, “Love you papa ?Happy 60th Birthday to you ❤️”. In one pic, Ajay Kumar Sharma is seen reading a book, in one he is seen flaunting his bare body, also there are pics from his army days, a childhood pic of Anushka with her dad, a family picture that features Virat, Anushka, her brother and parents and we are totally in awe of the last picture where Anushka’s dad can be seen carrying his granddaughter Vamika.

Kriti Sanon, Sonam Kapoor, Neeti Mohan and others also wished Anushka’s dad. Kriti wrote, “Yay! Our papas share their bdays! Pls wish uncle from my side❤️❤️” while Sonam wrote, “So sweet Anushka our parents have the same birthday ❤️ happy birthday to your dad”.

Anushka and Virat welcomed their first child on January 11 this year. The couple is currently in Pune as India is playing against England in the ODI series.
