After 17 years, India reclaimed the T20 World Cup trophy on June 29, 2024. Following the match, Virat Kohli, who earned the Man Of The Match award for his 76-run performance, announced his retirement from the T20 format.

On June 30, Virat Kohli expressed his gratitude to his wife, Anushka Sharma, by sharing an adorable picture of the two of them on social media. In the photo, the couple can be seen laughing together, holding glasses of beverages against a scenic backdrop of hills. Anushka donned a white outfit, while Virat wore casual attire.

She wrote, “Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!!”
