PIC: Anushka Sharma gears up to welcome New Year, shares excitement

Anushka Sharma is one of the most popular actresses in the Hindi film industry. She has been away from the silver screen for quite a few years now, but the actress is certainly not away from the limelight. Anushka is an active social media user and the ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ actress often shares glimpses of her daily activities with her fans.

Now, as the year is almost coming to an end, she expressed her excitement about welcoming 2022 and we can all relate to her! The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actress took to her Instagram story and shared a picture, in which a big stand with 2022 written on it, looking at the photo, it looks like her hotel lobby. Anushka wrote in her caption: “Almost here.”

To note, the actress is currently in South Africa with her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli and their daughter Vamika for Team India’s test series against the country.

Meanwhile, reportedly, the actress is all set to return to the movies with 2 big projects which will hit the theatres. Anushka was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ (2018) with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. According to a report in Pinkvilla, “Anushka Sharma is returning to acting in 2022, and that’s with not one, but three big films, giving her fans ample reasons to rejoice. Two will be big screen entertainers and one is conceptualized as one of the biggest films to be produced for the digital space in India. The string of announcements will begin from early next year.”

Anushka has also been constantly backing projects as a producer. Sharma has produced shows like Paatal Lok, Bulbbul. Currently, she is also bankrolling the upcoming film Qala featuring Irrfan Khan’s son Babil.
