Anushka Sharma heads to England for the shoot of Chakda Xpress- See Pic

Actor Anushka Sharma recently took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of the aeroplane window, announcing that she is heading to England. The actor is going to England for the shoot of her upcoming movie Chakda Xpress which is a biographical film on Jhulan Goswami. Since Anushka will be seen playing the role of a cricketer in the movie, it seems like she headed to the country to get prepped for the role.

Anushka has been practising the sport and sharpening her cricket skills before playing a cricketer in the movie. The Zero actor had been sharing some BTS videos on his Instagram account where she is doing net practice with her team. In the videos, Anushka looks really intense and dedicated while practising the sport.

Earlier, when she shared the first glimpse of Chakda Xpress on her Instagram, Anushka called it a special film. She also mentioned that her motive was not only to show Jhulan Goswami’s struggle and achievement but also to show how she revolutionized women’s cricket in India.

Her long note read, “It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket. At a time when Jhulan decided to become a cricketer and make her country proud on the global stage, it was very tough for women to even think of playing the sport. This film is a dramatic retelling of several instances that shaped her life and also women’s cricket.”
