Anushka Sharma heads to Kolkata for her Netflix project ‘Bulbul’

We all know that Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma own a production company called Clean Slate Films. The ‘Zero’ actress is all set to don the producer’s hat for a Netflix venture called ‘Bulbul’ along with her brother. Today, she has headed to Kolkata to join Karnesh and their production team for a couple of days. Anushka was seen in a blue and white striped dress.

Talking about ‘Bulbul’, it is a period drama based on age-old beliefs and superstitions. ‘Bulbul’ will tell the story of Satya and his brother’s child bride who get separated after Satya is sent to school in England. Clean Slate Films made its debut with ‘NH10’ which had Anushka in a leading role. The movie was well received by the critics and audiences and it was a sleeper hit. Anushka stood out with her performance. It was co-produced by Phantom Films.

Their second production was ‘Phillauri’ starring Anushka Sharma in the lead role with Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma and Mehreen Pirzada. It was a romantic comedy directed by Anshai Lal and did average business at the box office.

On the professional front, Anushka was last seen in ‘Zero’ that had Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. Before that, he appeared in ‘Sui Dhaaga’ for which she was highly appreciated.
